I'm sure, if anyone had asked, the US would have warmly welcomed the peaceful way in which Shanghai CCP Secretary Jiang Zemin managed protesters in his city in April-June 1989.
You do know he didn't move to Beijing until AFTER June 4, don't you?

The only time most Chinese people would ask this kind of question is when the CCP publishes it in newspapers across China...
